Sip and Dip

Sip and Dip

Superb evening on Friday November 17th, Bridge St Bar, Castlebar, 7pm till late!

For our end of year get together we are organising a ‘Sip and Dip’ upstairs in Bridge St bar, Castlebar, followed by some finger food, drinks and mingling 😊

A 90-minute themed painting party guided and instructed by a professional artist between 7pm and 8.30pm/9pm. We will decide on the theme to paint on the day.

Easels, aprons, brushes and paints are supplied and a canvas each to take home with your masterpiece. It’s just for a bit of fun, so don’t worry if you can’t paint like Picasso 🎨 I can’t either 😅

€20 per person includes all supplies and food and you may buy your own drinks in the bar throughout the evening.

Thanks, Helen

A big thanks to the artists Tina & Susan from Susan Malone SMart Art School, Cavendish Lane and also to Declan in the Bridge Street Bar.

One of the benefits of being on the committee or being a helm, nudge nudge, wink wink 😁   We had a fab night in House of Plates.

All volunteers and helpers welcome in 2024.

Our Ukrainian friends beautiful evening of Culture

Our Ukrainian friends beautiful evening of Culture

Our lovely Ukrainian friends invited Club members to a beautiful evening of Song, Music and Culture on Sunday Nov 26th at 6.30pm  in Macalla Hall, Lough Lannagh holiday Village.  Our super talented friends put on an excellent show.  And the food after the show was delicious.

Two of our Ukrainian friends, Nadiia and Sveta sang ‘Sé mo Laoch’ – well done girls , ye did a fantastic job.  The ladies song featured on the Connaught Telegraph (local newspaper) facebook page! (see below).

Ballina Dragons come to Castlebar

Ballina Dragons come to Castlebar

On Tues 13th June, a large group of Men and Women from Ballina came to Lough Lannagh for their first paddling session. While it was only on land, due to Thunder and Lightning, they had great fun and a little taste of what is yet to come.

This eager bunch are setting up a Dragon boat Club in Ballina, Co.Mayo and it will mean that there will be 2 clubs in the county. GMDBC are looking forward to many more meet ups with their Ballina Buddies.
